南アフリカから来日中の“スターク・コンデ・ワインズ“ のオーナー、マリー＆ホセ・コンデご夫妻が、daimajoさまのお見舞いに我が家に来てくれました。
彼らと出会ってから、かれこれ30年もの長いお付き合いです。
もう昔のようにおしゃべりすることは出来ませんが、daimajoさまも嬉しそうでした。
そのあとマリーとホセを連れて、地元の鶴川香山園で夕食です。
息子の大も合流しました。
今日はワインを持ち込ませてもらいました。

シュナン・ブランは、5年前に大がスターク・コンデ・ワインズで、ワイン造りの研修中に試験醸造したもの。
皆んな、久しぶりに飲みましたが、素晴らしい熟成を見せていました。
我々全員、最近はブルゴーニュの銘醸ワインから遠ざかっていたので、今日はヴォルネイを開けました。
やっぱり高いブルゴーニュは美味しいですね。
今日はコースで料理を頼みましたが、どのお皿も大変すばらしいものばかり。
水ナスって美味しいですね。
メインの山形牛の 朴葉焼きに、みんなでうっとり。
ホセは茅ケ崎の地酒、天青が気に入りました。
最後はみんなで、ライトアップされた日本庭園を散策。
素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。
マリー、ホセ、今日はありがとうございました。
また、会おうね。

Marie and Jose Conde, the owners of Stark Conde Wines from South Africa, came to our house to visit daimajo-sama.
It’s been 30 years since I met them.
She can’t talk like we used to, but daimajo-sama seemed happy.
After that, I took Marie and Jose for dinner at the local Tsurukawa Kagoyamaen.
My son, Dai, also joined us.
I was allowed to bring wine with me today.

This Chenin Blanc was test-brewed five years ago at Stark-Conde Wines during my son’s winemaking training.
We drank it for the first time in a long time, but it was showing great maturing.
We’ve all been away from Burgundy’s fine wines lately, so today I opened this Volnay.
After all, expensive Burgundy is delicious.
I ordered a course dishes today, and all the plates were wonderful.
Water eggplant is delicious, isn’t it?
Everyone was fascinated by the main Yamagata beef grilled magnolia leaves.
Jose liked Chigasaki’s local sake, Tensei.
Finally, take a walk through the illuminated Japan garden.
We had a great time.
