南アフリカから来日中のスターク・コンデ・ワインズのホセ＆マリー・コンデ夫妻と、新丸ビルのリゴレットで夕食。
新型コロナウィルスが南アで拡がる直前の2020年2月にワタシが南アを訪問して以来、2年8か月ぶりの再会です。
これまで少なくとも一年に２~３回は会っていた間柄なので、本当に久しぶりの再会です。
ワインはいつものように持ち込みでお願いしました。
その中でホセが、ワタシがプロデュースに参加した神戸レゼルバ・シャルドネ無濾過を大絶賛。
「どこまでも透明でピュア、ホントにきれい。日本のシャルドネならではの美味しさ。内藤さんらしいワイン。これは素晴らしい。いままで飲んだ日本ワインの中で一番美味しい。」とのこと。
ホセに褒められて、こんなに嬉しくなるのに我ながらビックリ。
3年近く、積もりに積もった話は尽きません。
もちろん、仕事のメールのやり取りや、オンラインでの会話はしょっちゅうしていましたが、やっぱり実際にリアルで会って話をするのは別物ですね。
美味しい料理と美味しいワイン、気の置けない長い付き合いの友人との再会。
やっぱり、ワタシにとってワインの繋がりは、特別なものです。
食後は、テラスでシャンパーニュ。
秋の夜風が心地よいです。
楽しい時間はあっという間に過ぎました。
いや、本当に楽しかったです。
また、お会いましょう！！

I had a private dinner with Marie & Jose Conde, who are owner of Stark Conde in South Africa.
We met at Rigoletto Wine & Bar in Marunouchi.
We met at the first time since I had visited to the winery in South Africa in February 2020 before covid-19.
All of the wines were by BYO.
Jose raved about Kobe Reserva Chardonnay very much.
He said, “ It was very nice Chardonnay. I like the very pure fruits, clean citrus and fine minerals. The style is the Japan Chardonnay. This one is the best Japan Chardonnay I have tasted ever.”
I was very happy hearing it!
Of course, we often sent email each other and sometime had an online-meeting.
However, real meeting is very different.
We talked a lot. We had three year’s talking tonight.
We had very good wine, very good foods and very nice talking.
After the dinner, we enjoyed a glass of Champagne at the terrace of the restaurant.
It was a very, very special night for us.
