Hokkaido Beef Tenderloin Steak with Lasagna
The day before, at a local supermarket that was about to close, there was a half-price price tag on a steak tenderloin from Hokkaido.
I bought it because it was a rare opportunity.
The flesh is tender while having firm fibrous textures. It was pretty tasty.
Wine of the Day
La Croix Gratiot Pinot Noir 2022 3,000 yen
It is a Pinot Noir from Languedoc.
It’s my favorite sustainable wine.
I went with a high-end tenderloin steak and a fine wine.
The flavor of the fruits that fills the mouth, the elegant texture that melts, and the pleasant aftertaste that lasts for a long time.
In the wine section, I often see the description of red wine saying that the dish that goes well with “steak”.
Well, it’s probably because it’s safe to write it as steak.
But in fact, today’s combination of tenderloin and Pinot Noir was not safe, but perfect.
