東京大学弥生講堂で開催された日本ワインブドウ栽培協会(JVA) のシンポジウムに参加しました。
JVA は、自社でブドウを栽培するドメーヌワイナリーと、ブドウ栽培農家、ブドウ苗木業者を中心に、ワイン関係者で構成される社団法人。
ワタシの会社も会員となっております。
日本でのワイナリーの急増に伴い、いまブドウの苗木不足が深刻化。
加えて、ウィルスに冒されたブドウ畑が多く放置されている問題も顕在化しています。
地球温暖化によるブドウ畑の維持管理の問題もありますが、組織的な対策がほとんどないのが現状です。
JVA は、日本のワイナリーの関係有志がボランティアでこれらの問題に対処すべく、奮闘を重ねています。
今日の会場には、著名なワイナリーの代表者が多く来場していて、びっくりです。
4時間にわたるシンポジウムでしたが、あっという間に時間が過ぎました。
とても勉強になりました。
JVA の、これからの活動に期待をしています。

I participated in the symposium of the Japan Vineyard Association (JVA) held at the Yayoi Auditorium of the University of Tokyo.
JVA is an incorporated association consisting of wine-related companies, mainly Domaine wineries that grow their own grapes, viticulturists, and grape saplings.
My company is also a member.
With the rapid increase in the number of wineries in Japan, the shortage of grape seedlings is becoming more serious.
In addition, the problem of many vineyards affected by the virus being left unattended has also become apparent.
Also, there are many problems of vineyard maintenance due to global warming, but there are almost no systematic measures.
JVA is working hard to address these issues with volunteers from Japan wineries.
I was surprised to see many representatives of famous wineries at today’s venue.
It was a four-hour symposium, but time flew by.
I learned a lot.
I look forward to the future activities of the JVA.
