早くも5月が終わります。
多くの都市で飲食店での酒類提供が禁止された異常事態の一か月。
悪夢のようなひと月でした。
来月も悪夢は続きます。夢なら覚めてほしい。
1本目 マルサン葡萄酒 甲州 百 1,540円
これを飲むたびに思うのですが、素晴らしい甲州だと。
きわだったバランスの良さ、果肉の厚み、きれいな酸とミネラル感。
なんか、こう、肩の力が抜けた自然体で普通な感じなのに、戦うとやたらに強い格闘技の選手のようなワインです。
なんで、こんなに美味しんだろうか？
いい甲州だなあ。
2本目 マルサン葡萄酒 ベリーＡ 百 1,430円
日本の多くのワイン醸造家はマスカットベーリーＡから、甘いラブルスカ臭を引き出さずに、本格的な赤ワインを造ろうと努力をしています。
ところがマルサンの若尾さんは、「品種が持つベリーの香り、イチゴ香や綿あめ香を、素直に表現したい」と話します。
確かにべーりーＡの甘い香りと、赤い果実の風味に、色合いも味わいもライトタッチ。
ところがどっこい、果肉の厚みを感じるしっかりとした味わいが奥にあります。
完熟したベーリーＡならではのブドウの持つパワーを感じる、ワインとして完成度が高い一本。
これもいつも言いますが、この値段は安すぎると思います。
若尾さんの造るワインは本当に美味しいなあ。

1st Marusan Wine Koshu Hyaku 2019 1540 yen
I always think it is very fine Koshu when I taste this one.
I like the outstandingly nice balance.
I also like the rich fruits, nice acidity and fine minerals.
I think this one is similar to a fighter, who has a real natural stance but very strong.
Why is this so tasty?
It is a truly nice Koshu.
2nd Marusan Wine Hyaku Bailey-A 2018 1430 yen
Almost all winemakers in Japan don’t like a sweet aroma and flavor of Muscat Bailey-A.
They try to produce wine without the sweet nuance.
However, Mr. Wakao, who is the owner & winemaker of Marusan Wine, says,
“I want to present the potential of Bailey-A with its sweet nuance.”
Well, exactly, I felt some sweet aroma, charming red berries and light touch mouthfeel.
Also, I could found very rich-deep fruits in the glass.
It is a unique but also very fine red wine, I think.
Additionally, the price is too cheap, I always say.
