今日はバレンタインデーですね。
一般的にVa はカタカナ表記では、“ヴァ” と書くことは多いと思いますが、Valentine’s Day のVa は、“バ” と書く方が多いように思います。
なぜだろう？
今日は手巻き寿司です。
メジマグロ、真鯵、ホタルイカ、ヒラメ、黒鯛、甘エビ、サーモントラウト、ツナマヨ、きゅうり
今夜の手巻き寿司は、抜群に美味しかったです。
特にメジマグロは、養殖の本マグロより遥かに美味でした。
本日のワイン
マルキドボーラン オレンジワイン 2024 1,380円
マルキドボーランのオレンジワイン、ひさしぶりに飲みます。
ソーヴィニヨン・ブラン92％にゲヴルツトラミネール8％のブレンドです。
ゲヴルツをはっきりと感じるエレガントなアロマ、ゆったりとした果実味に、きれいな酸、ほのかな渋みがアクセント。
今日の手巻き寿司にもぴったりです。
だいぶ遅いネタですが、リアルワインガイド92号で、このオレンジワインが2025年の旨安大賞を受賞しました。

It is Valentine’s Day.
I cooked Temaki-sushi.
Meji-Maguro, Aji, Hotaru-Ika, Hirame, Kurodai, Amaebi, Salmon-Trout, Tuna-mayo, Cucumber
Tonight’s Temaki-sushi was exceptionally delicious.
In particular, the Meji-Maguro was much tastier than some farmed Hon-Maguro.
Today’s Wine
Marquis de Beau Rond Orange Wine 2024 1,380 yen
I drink Marquis de Bolan’s orange wine for the first time in a while.
It is a blend of 92% Sauvignon Blanc and 8% Gewurztraminer.
I felt the elegant aroma that clearly feels Gewurz, the fine fruits taste, the beautiful acidity, and the slight astringency,which are the accent of it.
It’s also perfect for today’s Temaki-sushi.
It’s a very late story, but in the Real Wine Guide No. 92, this orange wine won the 2025 Orange Grand Prize.
