Mar. 21
The cold days have continued since the beginning of March, but during my walk, I came across a magnolia flower in full bloom.
Even if it’s cold, it’s still spring.
Today dinner was a Kiritampo-Nabe.
As usual, I boiled down two chicken stocks in the morning and made chicken broth.
Appetizer, Toyama Hotaru-Ika Sashimi.
Hotaru-Ika, finally from Toyama, is on the shelves of supermarkets.
After all, Toyama is different.
Kiritanpo-Nabe, delicious!
1st Baron de Beau Rond Blanc 2021 850 yen
It is a smooth Languedoc white wine.
I felt gentle fruits taste, clean acidity and minerality.
The pure mouthfeel is pleasing.
2nd Hamada Vineyard Chardonnay 2020 6,000 yen
I wanted to drink an outstanding Chardonnay like the Villa d’Est Chardonnay I had at Park Hyatt Tokyo yesterday, so I chose this wine from the cellar.
Wine that has undergone careful cultivation and barrel fermentation has an unbelievable depth and complex taste.
The acid with a strong presence unique to Hokkaido Chardonnay is impressive.
After all, Mr. Hamada’s wine is amazing.
It also went well with the Kiritampo-Nabe.
