It was the Doyo-no-Ushi Day, which is the midsummer day when many people eat an eel.
So that, I cooked an eel mixed with steam rice.
The eel I bought at the supermarket.
It was steamed in wine and then cooked. It’s plump and delicious.
It goes very well with wine.

It is very popular Relax Wine from Languedoc.
It’s a standard of standard.
I felt clear fruit flavor, transparent acidity and outstanding mineral feeling.
I like this pure mouthfeel and a solid drinkability.
No matter when you drink it, it’s really delicious.
2nd Marquis de Beau Rond Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 980 yen
I chose the red, Marquis de Beau Rond, too.
This wine is used as a base for wine steaming and eel sauce.
The wines I cook with used to be slightly spoiled or cheap wines that I rejected from tasting.
However, I realized that the food would not taste good if I did that, so I decided to only use wine that is good to drink.
The delicious wine used for cooking and the compatibility with that dish are still outstanding.
It was very delicious.
