Sushi & Japan Wine Party

Jul. 29

I held a private sushi & Japan Wine party at Shin-Yurigaoka Sato.

I always fill my stomach with the dishes before sushi, and I can’t eat the essential nigiri so much.

So today, after sashimi, I decided to have sushi right away.

Sushi is delicious!

Shinko, the best!

Wine

Yamazaki Winery Pinot Gris 2020

Domaine Takeda Delaware Barrel Aging 2021

Shimokita Wine Pinot Noir 2018

Chase the Grape Chill Red 2022 (Unreleased)

I bought Takeda’s Delaware was at the winery the before yesterday.

At 4,950 yen, it’s an exceptional price as Delaware, but it’s worth it.

It is made from 100% Delaware grown in the estate vineyards and fermented in the oak cask. After barrel aging, it is bottled unfiltered.

The elegance surprised all the participants.

Such a pure, beautiful and satisfying wine can be made in Delaware.

As expected, Noriko, you are amazing!

Chase the Grape is the fourth cuvee in the series to bottling this month.

It is made from Muscat Bailey-A grown in Katsunuma and Merlot grown in Manriki. This is also very well done.

A charming acid reminiscent of Bio’s Gamay. The gentle and natural fruit flavor spreads in your mouth.

It will be released by Relax Wine in early October.

Even so, sushi and wine are the best marriage.

All of Sato’s Edomae sushi is really delicious.

It is by no means flashy or novel, but it has an exquisite taste of authentic sushi.

No, I really enjoyed sushi and wine today.

Thank you very much!
