Koshu and Bailey-A made in Kyushu

Aug. 19

I weeded my garden from 6 a.m.

Even though the early morning, the temperature was already over 30℃.

The 2 hours 30 minutes weeding killed me!

I treated myself to a fine Unagi lunch.

Then I cooked dinner easily.

Hiramasa Sashmi & Carpaccio

Cheese and Prosciutto Palate

Very good!

1st Ajimu Wine Moroya Koshu 2019  2800 yen

It is made from 100% Koshu grown in Ajimu, Oita, Kyushu.

I bought this one at the cellar door of the winery.

Only two wineries produce Koshu wine in Kyushu, this Ajimu and Tsuno Wine in Miyazaki.

This one is an outstandingly fine Koshu wine.

I felt a very good structure even though alcohol degree was only 11%.

I felt flowery aroma, nice citrus and good minerally mouthfeel.

The style is clearly different from any Koshu wine in Yamanashi.

The taste is something similar to an excellent Picpoul de Pinet.

I am sure again Ajimu Wine is outstanding.

Every wine is tremendously tasty.

2nd Kumamoto Wine Yamaga Muscat Bailey-A 2019  2500 yen

I bought it at the winery, too.

It is sold at only the cellar door.

It is made from 100% Muscat Bailey-A grown in Yamaga, Kumamoto, Kyushu.

It is produced at Kikka Winery in Yamaga, which is the new winery of Kumamoto Wine.

Th first vintage is 2018, this one is the second vintage.

I felt charming red berries, soft acidity and modest tannins.

The style is pure and natural.

I am looking forward to tasting Kikka Wine from this time.
