Jul. 26
I was invited to a new wine rollout party of MGVs Winery in Katsunuma Yamanashi.
MGVs Winery is the newest winey in Yamanashi, opened last April.
About 30 guests, wine journalists, sommeliers, wine merchants, etc. were gathered at the new cellar.
It was the third time I had come here.
It rained in Tokyo but It was fine day in Yamanashi.
I think nobody can find the cellar used to be a semiconductor factory.
We were guided to the cellar at first by Mr. Sodeyama, who is the cellar master.
I was sure again that it is a very well-organized wine cellar.
Then we were guided to vineyards near the cellar by Mr. Maeda, who is the vineyard master.
Everybody was interested in the new culture system of MBA.
Their main Koshu vineyard, Shimo-Kawakubo, was beautiful.
Then we had a presentation for the new winery and tried to taste the new release wines.
All of them were so tasty, very fine.
I was sure that the big potential of Koshu and MBA in the future.
Then we had a nice lunch with MGVs wines.
So delicious!
Thank you very much for the invitation today.
I am looking forward to tasting many MGVs new wines.
