Feb. 23
It’s a so warm day that I can’t believe it’s February, and I’m sweating when I’m in the sun.
Today is a No Wine Day.
Feb. 24
Although not as much as yesterday, the temperature is high today.
I spent the day without heating.
Today’s dish
Aji Sashimi

Salad with Broccoli, Avocado, Kiwi and Cherry-tomatoes

Yakiniku

It is Gunma Black Wagyu-beef Ribs and Roses.

When I grill meat at home, I grill the meat at a lower temperature than the Maillard reaction to prevent smoke.
Today, I let my guard down at the end and the heat on the stove became high, and the smoke was already gone.
The room was completely dominated by the smell of yakiniku.
This smell won’t go away for two or three days.

But yakiniku tastes better when it smokes.
Today’s Wine

La Croix Gratiot Pinot Noir 2019 2,500 yen
I opened a good red wine to match the good meat.
This is Languedoc’s natural wine, Pinot Noir.
After 7 years of aging, now is the time to drink.
It has a firm body, rich fruit flavor and beautiful acidity.
I felt the calm and complex flavors derived from aging.
Good wine. It’s a really good wine. Oh, delicious!
