Mar. 26
Today, we held a wine party at Tavern on S in Shinjuku.
Six men brought in six bottles of wine.
We didn’t have much of a meeting beforehand, but we were able to get a good balance of wines.
So, tonight’s top wine was Mercian Kikyo-ga-Hara Merlot 2013.
The person who brought it in was humble, saying, “It may have already been gone,” but it was a wonderful aging.
I felt rich aroma, smooth and beautiful fruitiness, delicate acidity and elegant astringency.
This Merlot, which has been aged for 10 years, has a complex and pure sense of aging.
We were all surprised by the potential of the ripening of Merlot, which is grown on the shelves from Nagano Shiojiri.
The steak was so delicious!
There were six old men, and the conversation was lively, and it may have been a nuisance to the customers around us.
At the end, I was very satisfied with the dessert.
It was such a fun time. See you again!!
