No Wine Day
Feb. 2
I bought ice cream at my local FamilyMart and looked at the receipt, and it was 777 yen!
Three Seven!!
When I involuntarily exclaimed, “Wow!”, the cashier’s brother also said, “I’ve never saw 777 yen before!”
He also seemed happy.
Today’s dish.
Raw Oysters
Madai Carpaccio
Baked Vegetables
Tarracos Spaghetti
It was an ordinary dish, but it was very delicious.
1st Turckheim Sylvaner 2020 1,700 yen
This is my favorite Alsace wine these days.
Generally speaking, a dry Sylvaner is often too much light, like a squeezed radish juice (?).
However, Turckheim is quite different.
It has a fluffy and voluminous fruit flavor, sharp acidity, and a pleasant minerality.
Pure and natural taste is the promise of Turckheim.
It is a very good wine.
2nd Ancora Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2021 1,100 yen
It is a red wine made from Montepulciano grown in Abruzzo, Italy.
100% Montepulciano, harvested from old trees that are 30 to 50 years old, is fermented by wild yeast.
Don’t you think this spec is amazing for a 1000 yen wine?
Not only the specs, but also the quality is exceptional.
I felt black berry fruit flavor reminiscent of plums and dark cherries, mellow tannins and volume of pulp.
It’s delicious. I think it’s outstanding cost performance.
