Back from Osaka, I had a busy day.

With travel and events at the beginning of the month, it was still a tough one.

 

 

Today I cooked Sukiyaki.

 

 

Japanese black beef from Kagoshima.

 

 

It was cut off, but it was delicious enough.

 

 

 

1st Baron de Beau Rond Blanc 2020  950 yen

It is a white wine from Languedoc mainly a blend of Grenache Blanc and Marsanne.

I felt very clean, light and dry taste.

But it also has a lot of pure fruitiness.

Delicious!

 

 

2nd Estezargues Organic Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2022  1580 yen

It’s Sukiyaki, but the second bottle was also white wine.

Even in the last Sukiyaki, when I opened this southern Rhone BIO wine, it was perfect.

Like the first one, it is a blend mainly of Grenache Blanc, but this one is dry with a lot of texture.

The thick fruit taste was impressive.

It has a gentle mouthfeel unique to sulfite-free wine, but it also has a pronounced minerality.

This one was very good for my sweetly seasoned Sukiyaki.
