Today’s dinner is a Mizutaki-Nabe, a water cooking pot.
Two young chicken bones were boiled down for 6 hours to make soup.
It’s delicious.
1st Ichinokura Sake Brewery Yamatoden Special Junmai Sake 1,650 yen
Today we will start with Japan Sake.
A limited edition of a special label designed by daimajo-sama’s friend, illustrator Ms. Misako Nakagawa.
Ichinokura’s Yamatoden has been my favorite sake for a long time.
I felt a light and dry clean style hides a solid richness and body.
I think it’s the type of sake I like to drink.
Also, in Miyagi Prefecture, I like Hidakami in Ishinomaki., too.
2nd Marquis de Beau Rond Merlot 2022 980 yen
Of all the reds of this vintage in Marquis de Beau Rond, this Merlot is my most favorite.
I felt plenty of fruitiness while suppressing sweetness.
I also felt pleasant acidity, good astringency and nice aftertaste.
It has an outstanding sense of balance.
It also went well with a Mizutaki-Nabe today.
