Sep. 22
I wrote up today’s blog 10 minutes before.
But all drafts were deleted when I was going to update them.
There is nothing left.
I was so shocked.
I froze for 5 minutes.
Finally, I started writing the blog again now.
1st J. Lohr Riverstone Chardonnay 2018 2500 yen + tax
It is made from mainly Chardonnay grown in the estate vineyards in Arroyo Seco Monterey by sustainable method.
It is a very elegant white wine thanks of the cool marine climate.
I felt rich-pure fruits, beautiful acidity and very fine minerals.
I am sure again that this one is an outstanding Chardonnay in California in this class.
2nd J. Lohr South Ridge Syrah 2016 2500 yen + tax
It is made from mainly Syrah grown in the estate vineyards in Paso Robles by sustainable method.
You may suppose that this one is a dark, heavy, spicy and high-alcohol red wine.
No, it is not true.
I felt very charming black berries, seamless tannins and very soft mouthfeel.
It is a really elegant red wine.
This elegance is born from the big temperature difference between morning and day in Paso Robles.
So tasty!
I have updated the movie of today’s tasting.
