The second day in Hokkaio-2

After visit to Nakazawa Vineyard, we moved to Mikasa.

By the way, we took a belief lunch at a parking area on the highway.

Then we recovered some of the loss time.

We arrived at Kondo Vineyards Mikasa Farm.

It is a natural farming east-facing vineyard.

 He has 2 hectare this vineyard and an another 2 hectare vineyard in Iwamizawa.

Finally we visited to Yamazaki Winery, which is the last distination.

Mr. Taichi Yamazaki received us.

The 10 hectare single vineyard looked quite a sight, as well.

Yamazaki-san has an another 2 hectare vinerayds around the cellar.

They managed total 12 hectare estate vineyards only members of the family.

 

 

The vineyards are really well controlled.

There were a lot of baby grape clusters.

The vineyard has a very comlex strata.

The place was the mouth of a river long, long ago.

The land repeated upthrusts and sedimentations many times.

Finally, the vineyard has 7 different geologies.

hmm… Is that so?

There is a climate measuring instrument controlled by a public agency.

The data will be utilized for the local farming.

Then we returned to Sapporo in a hurry.

We went to Sushi Zen Honten in Maruyama, which is the finest sushi restaurant in Sapporo.

Fortunately, Mr. Shimamiya, the owner & chef, cooked sushi extraordinarily for us even tough you had many sushi masters here.

Mr. Shimamiya is one of the best sushi masters in Japan now.

They were so great, too.

I was deeply sure again the best bevarage for fine sushi was wine.

 

 

 

Well, the house sake of Sushi Zen was so nice, too……
