No Wine Day

I cooked dinner, as well.
Tataki-style Bonito Carpaccio
Paella-style Steamed Rice
As I am a Japan person from the Showa era, rice has to be steamed, not be baked.
The clams are steamed in wine, the shrimp and scallops are sauteed with brandy, and the Hotaru-ika is marinated in olive oil.
Mushrooms are unglazed in a frying pan, and paprika is grilled.
Put the ingredients on the steamed turmeric rice and reheat it in a rice cooker.
The plump, fluffy paella is ready.
Delicious!
1st Baron de Beau Rond Blanc 2020 950 yen
Recently, this Languedoc white wine has been appearing in our house a lot.
It is a blend of Grenache Blanc and Marsanne.
I felt pure fruits flavor, crisp minerality, and nuances of herbs derived from Marsanne.
Tasty!
2nd Ancora Pinot Grigio 2022 1,080 yen
Today, the second bottle was also white wine.
Paella goes well with chilled white wine.
It is a Pinot Grigio from Lombardy, Italy.
I felt elegant fruits taste, clean acidity and minerality.
What a pleasant and elegant mouthfeel!
It has plenty of fruitiness but a refreshing aftertaste.
It is a quality that impresses me whenever I drink it.
It was perfect for paella.
