A Big Courage

Feb. 11

I cooked dinner, Temaki-Sushi.

Because we had some guests tonight, the volume was more than usual.

1st Thierry Massin Selection Brut NV 5400 yen

It is made in Cote des Bar, a small Cru located in south-east Champagne, from 100% Pinot Noir.

I like this elegant acidity and tinny babbles.

The after taste is very long and comfortable.

Good Champagne is always very impressive.

2nd Rubaiyat Koshu Barrel Aged 2014

I was gifted this fine Koshu from Mr. Omura, who is the owner of the winery.

Actually, I don’t prefer to a barrel aged Koshu but it is an exception.

I felt very rich fruits, which hardly find in Koshu.

It is a very big Koshu wine, very good for Temaki-Sushi.

3rd Crystallum Mabalel Pinot Noir 2014 5680 yen

I was very impressed in this Pinot Noir at staff wine seminar in last month.

It required a big courage for me to buy South Africa Pinot Noir with 5680 yen.

However, I didn’t regret to buy this indeed.

It was an outstanding Pinot Noir.

I think it is one of the world best class Pinot Noirs.

Everybody today moved a lot.

So delicious!
