During the Bon Festival

I cooked dinner in the typhoon.

I went to a seafood market in the morning, I could get very nice fishes unexpectedly.

 

 

I cooked a “Magochi” at the first time.

 

 

Maji was very fresh.

 

 

Her eyes were as clear as crystal.

 

 

She had eggs.

 

 

I grilled fish bones.

 

 

Very good!!

 

 

 

1st Domaine Tetta Rosage Gris 2021  3900 yen

This petillant is made from 100% Pinot Gris grown in the estate vineyards in Okayama.  

All of the grapes were macerated and fermented without sulfur.

I felt light babbles and soft acidity.

The taste was very dry and natural.

It is a fashionable style.

Very good.

 

 

2nd Bellwood Vineyard Collection Vin Petillant 2021  2300 yen

This petillant is made from 100% Verdelee grown in Yamagata.

I didn’t know the grape variety.

I checked it and found the variety is as same as Sibel 9110.

Sibel 9110 is a hybrid grape in France.

Verdelee is a different name of it.

I felt very fresh fruits, clean babble, nice acidity and minerals.

The looks was turbid but the taste was very clean and clear.

It was so tasty.

 

 

3rd Clendenen Family Vineyards Aligote 2019 

It is a private wine of Mr. Jim Clendenen, who was the owner of Au Bon Climat.

I am sorry that he was dead three month ago.

August 13-15 is the Bon Festival in Japan.

We pray for our ancestors during the days.

I opened this one for thinking about Jim’s goodness.

It is made from 100% Aligote grown in Santa Maria in California.

I felt very rich fruits, beautiful acidity and very fine minerals.

I felt Jim Clendenen’s elegance very much.

I offer him my deepest condolence again.
