1st Asahimachi Wine Meister Selection Chardonnay 2014 3040 yen
I bought this at the winery when I visited this month.
It is the top cuvee white wine in the winery.
It is made from 100% Chardonnay grown in the estate vineyard.
After the fermentation, the wine was matured in French oak barrels.
I felt complex aroma, very rich fruits and fine acidity.
It like this comfortable-long after taste very much.
I am sure it is one of the top Chardonnay wines in Japan.
The total production is only 549 bottles.
2nd Asahimachi Wine Meister Selection Zweigelt Rebe 2014 3040 yen
I bought this at the winery, too.
It is the top cuvee red wine in the winery.
It is a really elegant Zweigelt Rebe.
I didn’t feel any “hybrid nuance”.
I love this very deep-rich fruits, fine-mild tannin and comfortable after taste.
It is something similar to fine Merlot.
It is one of the best Zweigelt Rebe wines I have ever tasted.
