1st Chateau Furano White 2019 2728 yen + tax
I bought this one at “Winter Hokkaido Fair” in Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro.
It is made from Kerner and Bacchus grown in the estate vineyards in Furano Hokkaido.
It is a very pure and natural style white wine.
I felt a very nice balance between a rich body from Kerner and bright fruits from Bacchus.
I also felt very clean citrus, which was the special character of Hokkaido wine.
It was a very nice wine. I was so impressed!
2nd Furano Wine Pinot Noir 2018 3,410 yen + tax
I bought this one at “Winter Hokkaido Fair”, too.
It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in Furano.
The style is not flashy but very decent.
I felt charming red berries, nice acidity and very comfortable mouth feel.
The taste is really delicate and elegant.
It’s a very fine Pinot Noir.
Takahashi-san, you are great!
