1st Domaine YUI T4+ Rose 2018 1900 yen + tax
It is the first vintage of Domaine YUI in Yoichi Hokkaido, which I visited to last week.
It is made from mainly Campbell grown in their estate vineyards.
All of the grape varieties are “Vitis labrusca” but I didn’t feel any foxy flavor.
I felt charming red berries, fresh acidity and very comfortable mouthfeel.
It was really tasty.
Only 12 bottles of this rose were left at the winery.
The winery offered me the 6 bottles but I bought only 3 bottles with reserve.
I regret it. I should have bought all.
2nd Katsunuma Winery Arugano Bailey-A 2020 1800 yen + tax
It is a Yamanashi Nouveau made from 100% Muscat Bailey-A.
It was the first time I had tasted Japan Nouveau red in this season.
It is a very nice red wine.
I felt very natural fruits, fresh acidity and elegant mouthfeel.
The style is similar to a very fine Bourgogne Passe-tout-grains, I think.
Because the winery doesn’t use any sugar addition, the alcohol degree is only 9%.
However, thanks of massive-fine acidity, I felt enough body and structure.
Also they don’t use any unnecessary additions or preservations.
The taste is very pure and natural as same as Relax Wine.
Very good! So tasty!
