I tasted a glass of wine at my balcony.

1st Comazono Vineyard Pony Blanc Cask Matured 2019 1680 yen + tax Sample Tasting
It is the high-grade cuvee of Pony Blanc made in Enzan Yamanashi from 100% Koshu.
I tasted standard Pony Blanc last week, which is a fresh and pure style.
This one is very rich and elegant style.
It was fermented in French oak cask and matured in the cask for 6 months by Sur Lie method.
I was amazed at the clean tropical fruits, beautiful acidity, and comfortable minerals.
It’s very rich and elegant.
If I tasted this one by blind, I would say ” It is Pinot Gris”.
I am sure it is a very fine Koshu wine.
2nd Comazono Vineyard Pony Rouge Cask Matured 2019 1680 yen + tax Sample Tasting
The red is also outstanding.
It is made from 100% Black Queen grown in Yamanashi.
It is matured in 40% French Oak cask and 60% American Oak cask for 6 months.
I didn’t feel any too oaky nuance.
I felt very rich-dense fruits, silky tannin and very nice mouthfeel.
I also felt nice red & black berries, tasty cacao and nuts.
It is a very charming and elegant red wine.
I think it is one of the best Black Queen wines in Japan.
The price is super reasonable, too.
