Because I was traveling in Hokkaido with my late summer holidays, my diary update was delayed.

Sep. 3

I took a flight to Hokkaido at early morning.

At first, I visited to Misawa Winery in Chitose with no appointment.

Fortunately, Mr. Misawa was there.

Then I moved to Sapporo and got many fresh seafoods.

Then I arrived at Yamazaki Winery in Mikasa.

I cooked and organized Temaki Sushi wine party.

All family members and staff joined in the party.

It was a very nice party!

It was the second day in Hokkaido.

At first, I saw the beautiful vineyards of Yamazaki Winery.

Then I visited to 10R Winery in Iwamizawa with no appointment.

Fortunately, Ryoko and Bruce were there.

I tasted some very interesting wine from the cask.

They have been constructing the second cellar.

The winery has been growing a lot.

Then I visited to Nakazawa Vineyard in Iwamizawa with no appointment.

Unfortunately, Mr. & Mrs. Nakazawa was out of the vineyard.

Then I moved to Yoichi by two hours driving.

I ate a very nice Unidon at lunch.

Mr. & Mrs. Sugiyama received me.

I was guided to their vineyards.

It was so beautiful.

After the visit Yoichi, I moved to Sapporo and went to Wine shop Fujii.

I was gifted a strange bottle of wine.

Then we went to “obtenir K”, a very fine French restaurant in Sapporo.

We enjoyed their outstanding cuisines with very fine wines.

We enjoyed a lot!

Thank you very much for Fujii-san.

Sep. 6

It was the last day in Hokkaido.

I went to “de Montille & Hokkaido”, which is a very new vineyards in Hakodate owned by Etienne Montille, who is the owner & winemaker of Domaine Mntille in Burgundy.

I saw an incredibly beautiful view of Hakodate from the vineyard.

I am looking forward to tasting their wine in near future.

Even though it is my summer holidays, I have visited ten wineries and vineyards.

Some of talking with them were real business ones.

Anyway, I enjoyed the visits very, very much.

Then I went to a sight-seeing in Hakodate.

Before I took the last flight to Tokyo, I enjoyed outstandingly fine local sushi.
