No Wine Day

Jan. 20

After lunch in Shinjuku, I bought ingredients for dinner and went home.

Today’ dinner is Sukiyaki.

I was so excited that I bought Sendai beef.

It is Japanese black beef.

It looked very nice.

Sukiyaki is delicious!

Today’s Wine

Chateau Fongrave Bordeaux Rouge 2019 1850 yen

It is a red wine from the upper Garonne River region, in the Saint-Macaire region.

It is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc grown using natural farming methods.

It is a super long-selling wine that has been on sale since 1998, when Relax Wine began importing.

The craft wine is carefully prodeuced by the owner, François, who grows it in his own 10-hectare vineyards every day.

Even in the same Bordeaux Rouge, it is completely different from Negociant wine, which is made from large quantities of purchased grapes in large tanks.

By the way, I think this 2019 vintage is the best I’ve been dealing with for a long time.

I felt elegant fruits flavor, beautiful acidity, elegant astringency, and a pleasant aftertaste that lasts for a long time.

It is an exquisite balance unique to high-quality Bordeaux that has been aged for 6 years.

It went really well with today’s Sendai beef.

I was very happy for dinner today.
