On a whim, I had dinner at the local Tsurukawa Kagoyamaen’s restaurant “Obaitohri”.
I’m alone.
I am glad that I can enjoy delicious foods in such an extraordinary space within a 7-minute walk form my home.
It’s only been a few months since the restaurant opened, but it’s full for lunch and tea every day.
Even so, dinner is still relatively empty.
The food is delicious.
Today is my second visit, but the food is delicious again.
The firefly squid salad is a baby leaf tossed with pink grapefruit.
The sashimi is pure and fresh.
Avocado and salmon tartare topped with salmon roe and slightly cooked egg yolk.
I see, it will be educational.
Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for the wine I want to drink not to be on the menu.
So, I started with a local beer in Atsugi.
Chigasaki Kumazawa Sake Brewery Tensei Hon-Jozo.
Ebina Izumi of Izumibashi Sake Brewery Junmai Sake.
Seto Sake Brewery in Ashigara Kaisei Piihyara Junmai Ginjo.
When did Kanagawa’s local sake become so delicious?
I’m surprised.
What all of these sakes have in common is that they have a pure and light taste, but they are full of plump flavor.
Atsugi, Chigasaki, Ebina, and Kaisei are located in Kanagawa Prefecture.
My town Machida is in Tokyo.
However, it is no exaggeration to say that Machida is almost Kanagawa.
After all, I’m happy that it is full of local feeling.
It seems that this Tsukune is a specialty.
Like a Kiritambo, the meat is wrapped in finely crushed rice.
It’s delicious.
The illuminated Japan garden is fantastic.
Is this really my home town?
It was a luxurious time.
Thank you!
