We celebrated Setsubun in Kyoto.

 

 

We had a delicate Kyoto breakfast at the hotel’s Japan restaurant.

 

 

The rice cooked in a small kettle was delicious.

 

 

We left Kyoto in the early afternoon and returned to Tokyo.

 

 

 

At Kyoto Station, I bought an Ehomaki made from Amano-hashidate.

 

 

 

I wasn’t expecting much from this, but it was pretty tasty.

 

The main dish is grilled meat. Today’s meat is Japanese black beef from Gunma Prefecture.

 

 

Even if you don’t have time to cook, you can quickly arrange the meat and vegetables and grill it, which is helpful.

 

 

After dinner, I through soy beans for the Setsubun ceremony.

Our slogan is “Happy ~ inside, Happy ~ Outside”.

It’s hard to be happy for yourself. Isn’t it true happiness that everyone around you is happy?

 

The wine of the day

 

 

Chateau Fongrave Bordeaux Blanc 2020 1,680 yen

It is a white wine made with 100% Semillon, which is rare.

It is a sustainable wine from Saint-Macaire, inland in Bordeaux.

It has a firm body, mild acidity, and a voluminous aftertaste.

If you have a tasting it blind, it is difficult to get 100% Semillon.

For some, it’s Pinot Blanc.

For some, it’s Garganega.

Another person replied that it was Sauvignon Blanc with a weak aroma.

NO! But it’s a good line.
