The cold weather has been loosening for few days.
For dinner, I made a Kiritampo-Nabe.
I looked for Seri in two supermarkets, but they didn’t sell it.
I was a little relieved that I didn’t have to buy ridiculously expensive Seri.
I put Mizuna and Tomyo in the pot instead of Seri.
Even if you don’t have a Seri, Kiritampo-Nabe pot is fine.
It wouldn’t work without chicken and burdock, though.
Wine of the Day
Marchi de Beau Rond Syrah 2023 ¥1,080
I’m always at a loss as to what wine to pair with Kiritampo-Nabe, but today I tried a Marquis de Beau Rond Syrah.
This vintage Syrah is styled with a concentrated fruits flavor and a hint of sweetness.
As I expected, the chicken broth seasoned with soy sauce and mirin was well received.
Syrah and Kiritampo, it was a good marriage.
