No Wine Day
Dec. 17
For dinner today, I madeTemaki-Sushi.
Temaki-Sushi, it’s been a long time.
Kihada-Maguro, Madai, Shima-aji, Scallops, Sweet-shrimp, Hagatsuo, Salmon, Tuna-mayo, Cucumber
Except for salmon and scallops, everything is wild ones.
Temaki-Sushi is, after all, the best.
1st La Croix Gratiot Picpour de Pinet 2023 2,000 yen
The Relax Wine that goes well with sushi is this organic wine from Languedoc.
Picpour de Pinet is famous for being a wine that goes well with raw oysters, but it also goes great with sushi.
I felt plump fruits reminiscent of pears, citrus acidity reminiscent of grapefruit, and polished minerality.
It has a deep depth of flavor and accepts raw seafood and vinegar well.
No, it’s delicious. It’s really delicious. It’s really delicious.
After all, Temaki-Sushi with good wine is the best.
2nd Marquis de Beay Rond Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 1,080 yen
I wanted to drink red wine today, and I thought about opening some Burgundy, but I remembered that the price of Burgundy I saw in the wine section of the department store in Machida where I went to buy sashimi today was too high, so I stopped skipping Burgundy.
Instead of double the price I knew, it was three times the price.
Who’s going to buy it?
So, in the end, I opened Marquis’s Cabernet.
It was delicious enough and went well with Temaki-Sushi.
