Soleil Levant Koshu Sur Lie

Oct. 27

When I was walking around the city, I saw a lot of small children dressed in Halloween costumes.

Children’s Halloween is cute, isn’t it?

It would be nice if you could ask for adult Halloween in moderation.

Today is the tavern menu.

Gassan Wine Soleil Levant Koshu Sur Lie 2022  2,420 yen

It is a white wine made from Koshu grapes, the northern limit of which has been cultivated for 250 years at the foot of Mt. Gassan, the highest peak of Yamagata, the three mountains of Dewa.

I drank it for the first time in about 3 years, and the quality is getting better and better.

I felt thick citrus fruits, firm and elegant acidity, pleasant mouthfeel and minerality.

As a Koshu wine, I think it is unique and extremely complete.

Winemaker Toyokazu Abe, who had been away from Gassan Wine for a while, has also returned to Gassan Wine.

It’s more and more fun.
