May. 12
Today is daimajo-sama’s birthday.
I went on a two-day, one-night excursion to Hakone Yumoto.

There were times when I thought it would be difficult to travel overnight with Daimajo-sama, who has been certified as requiring nursing care 4 times, but the barrier-free building is wheelchair accessible, there is an open-air bath in a large room, and meals are in a private room.

Thanks to the excellent hotel, I was able to stay with peace of mind.

I am grateful for that.

Dinner is a multi-course meal.
While looking at the fresh greenery of Hakone, we had delicious foods.

For a resort hotel, They has an unsurpassed wine list.
Japan wines are surprisingly substantial.

Moreover, it is very cheap compared to the price of famous French wines.
I chose Chardonnay from Yamagata, Yellow Magic Winery.
It’s been a long time since I’ve drunk Mr. Iwasaki’s wine, who is the owner & winemaker of the winery.

This is a natural orange wine.
I felt gentle fruits flavor, clean acidity and natural minerality.
Accented with a slight astringency.

This is outstandingly delicious.

It fit perfectly into today’s elaborate dishes.

It’s delicious, it’s delicious, and daimajo-sama drank it a lot.
The foods were also complete. We had a great time.

After dinner, you can drink as much as you want at the lobby lounge of this hotel.
This makes me happy.
I had a Chardonnay from South Australia.
And this is also delicious.

I think this kind of all-you-can-drink wine is usually good and decent, but this one is delicious.

It’s imported by Academie du Vin.
We enjoyed hot springs, good sake, good food.
It’s awesome.
Also, daimajo-sama seems to be having fun.
Let’s come again!
