No Wine Day

Feb. 27

Today’s dinner is oden.

I’ve been preparing it since yesterday, so the flavor is soaked into the ingredients and it’s a nice feeling.

On a cold night, oden is delicious.

When I cook Oden, I’m always at a loss when it comes to choosing a wine, but today I’m going to start with a sustainable white wine from Languedoc.

1st Domaine Pech Pouille Chardonnay 2020 1,500 yen

It is made from 100% Chardonnay grown in the estate vineyards in Languedoc-Minervoie.

In a way, the grapes are grown under stricter conditions than organic wines and are made without any extra additives.

It has a thick and rich fruit flavor and a fluffy and gentle mouthfeel.

You can feel the thickness of the flesh.

The thick and pure body firmly accepts the flavor of oden.

This goes well with oden.

2nd Vignoble Clamen Rouge 2020 1,150 yen

A red wine from the South-West France.

It is a natural wine that has obtained the HVE Level 3 sustainability certification.

It has a gentle taste born from a blend of Syrah and Merlot.

I felt pleasant acidity and gentle astringency.

I also felt fragrant fruitiness reminiscent of prunes.

This red wine also took the flavor of oden lightly.

Today’s wine selection was a success.
