York Benimaru Founding Festival Technology Competition

Oct. 19

I went to Koriyama from early in the morning,

Today, I was in charge of a judge for the York Benimaru Founding Festival Technology Competition.

102 sales floor staff in each of the fruits and vegetable categories, meat, fresh fish, dairy, grocery and clothing, who passed the preliminary rounds in 17 districts competed in their display skills.

This is the 17th time event, and I received an offer to be a judge for the first time in a long time ago.

I was in charge of the grocery department.

This year’s theme is “Christmas menu proposals to enjoy with sparkling wine.”

So, what kind of display can be made?

The display work lasts 40 minutes.

If you can’t complete the display in time, you will be deducted a lot of points, so there will be pressure.

As a representative of each district, there is a lot of pressure.

Everyone is serious about the work.

Unique wallpapers and decorative goods are prepared in advance by each person.

Their honors and prizes (!) therefore, it is not possible to conduct a careless examination.

I was switched on to serious mode like never before.

The menu proposals ranged from friendly recipes like hamburger steaks to unique recipes such as Korean dishes and canned mackerel.

The end display is full of personality.

As a wine shop, isn’t there enough wine space and display volume?

The Naito Jury’s Special Prize was a display by Mr. Yoshida of the Iwaki Zone Yoshima store.

The wine was firmly lined up in the center, and the handwritten POP and Blythe cards are well positioned.

Salad suggestions were also displayed in an easy-to-understand manner.

The prize was one case of my wine set.

The overall award ceremony was spectacular.

The winners of each category will receive an overseas study trip.

The award ceremony was full of joy, and somehow I was happy.

Thank you very much for allowing us to participate in this wonderful event today.

During the short time waiting for the Shinkansen train on the way back, I had local sake from Fukushima and Aizu cuisine at Morish in the station.

I think I did a good job!
