Very good!
1st Yamazaki Winery Forest Sauvignon Blanc 2018 4520 yen + tax
I think it is the best Sauvignon Blanc in Japan I have ever tasted.
It is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown in the estate vineyard in Mikasa Hokkaido.
I felt outstandingly rich-elegant fruits, tremendously excellent acidity and fabulously fine minerals.
It is my best Sauvignon Blanc in these years, for me.
I want to compare this with some super expensive Loire Sauvignon Blanc.
2nd Grande Polaire Yoichi Pinot Noir 2017 4600 yen + tax
It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown at Hirotsu Vineyard in Yoichi Hokkaido.
Even though the color and taste is very light, I felt good acidity and charming red berries.
I think 13% alcohol degree is too much high in this area.
I suppose too much technic the winery used.
Because I could see the very fine grapes, this wine has a big potential, I think.
