No Wine Day
Mar. 12
It was a day of heavy rain all day.
Even if it rains, I want to keep my mind positive.
Today’s dish.
Raw Oysters
Marinated Hotaru-Ika and Hassaku Orange
Salad with Bacon, Avocado, Strawberries and Herbs
Sauteed Cod, Shrimp and Scallops with Potato Gratin
My favorite part of my cooking is actually potato gratin.
Today’s potato gratin was made with new potato.
1st Bellecourt Chardonnay 2021 1,400 yen
This vintage is due to the closure of glass bottle factories in Ukraine due to the war with Russia, resulting in an extreme shortage of Burgundy-shaped bottles.
It is a Chardonnay that was unavoidably packed in a Bordeaux-shaped bottle.
After all, Chardonnay is better in a Burgundy-shaped bottle, I think.
Even though, it’s a very good Chardonnay.
The 2022 vintage will return to the Burgundy type.
2nd Bellecourt Blanc de Blancs NV 1,480 yen
For some reason, I wanted to drink bubbles, so I opened a bottle of Bellecourt sparkling wine.
When uncorking, I had a hard time because the cork was unusually hard.
I’m glad that this one didn’t go to the hands of ordinary customers and came to me.
A simple sparkling wine that is characterized by its lack of features.
However, it is a pure drink with no disturbing taste.
It’s usually delicious.
