No Wine Day

Jul. 28

I had a two-day, one-night trip to Yamagata.

In the afternoon, I arrived at Kaminoyama Onsen Station.

Speaking of Yamagata, It is the Takeda Winery.

There was also talk about business, so I visited the winery.

I have many opportunities to meet the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Kishidaira, but this is the first time I have visited a winery in six years.

July was blessed with good weather and the grapes are growing well.

But it’s hot…

Yamagata is also very hot.

As usual, we had a relaxed talk, which I can’t tell you.

Then I moved to Tendo Onsen.

I stayed at Ichiraku, a hot spring inn with a brewery.

Brewery hotels are rare in Japan, aren’t they?

Guests can drink as much beer as they want.

In addition, the detached villa where I stayed had all-you-can-drink local sake and wine in Yamagata.

As for wine, you can drink all-you-can-drink mixed wine from Sakai Winery.

It’s like heaven.

For dinner, we brought in a new vintage of Takeda Winery Rose.

Takeda Winery and Sakai Winery are both representative wine producers of Japan.

The wine you drink in local is also exceptionally delicious.

The open-air bath in the room was in the shape of a “Shogi Piece” famous-unique to Tendo.

The hot springs are also great!

Yamagata, it’s good! Very good!
