No Wine Day
Aug.13
Fortunately, I didn’t have any side effects of the vaccine except a little arm pain.
I cooked dinner.
I got living scallops.
I cooked them Sashimi and Carpaccio.
The toppings of carpaccio were kiwi fruits, chervil, cress and lemon skin.
Kiwi and scallop made a very nice combination.
Green Salad
Pork and Pear Sauté with blackberry sauce.
Very good!
1st La Croix Gratiot Picpoul de Pinet 2019 1650 yen
Without hesitation, I chose this Languedoc white wine from my refrigerator to make a pairing with the scallop.
The vineyards are located near Mèze where is a famous oyster growing area.
Picpoul de Pinet is well-known as a good wine for oyster.
I think this one is also good for scallop.
Yes, I was right, very right.
They showed a very good marriage.
The fine fruits, citrus and minerals of this wine are very good for the umami and minerals of scallop.
What a great pairing is this!
2nd al & dile Pinot Nero 2018 1650 yen
I thought the blackberry sauce needed some good Pinot Noir.
Then I chose Alberto’s Pinot Noir made in Veneto.
I was right, very right, too.
I felt delicious red fruits, charming acidity, elegant tannin and comfortable mouthfeel.
It was very good for pear, too.
A good wine and good dish let me happy.
Very good!
