Yonago & Okuizumo Winery

Nov. 6

I arrived at Yonago Airport.

I will have a wine seminar for staff of Marugo, a local supermarket chain in Sanin, where is a west side of Japan.

At first, I visited to Sakaiminato Store.

I found my photo at the wine corner.

I took a photo with Mr. Chikaike, the store manager.

Thank you very much!

Then I went to Okuizumo Winery, a very fine winery and Vineyards in west Japan, with Mr. Ishiba, who is the wine buyer in Marugo.

For me, Okuizumo Winery is one of the top wineries in Japan.

The quality of Shokoshi, which is Japanese hybrid grape variety, and Chardonnay is outstanding, I think.

Mr. Abe, who is the cellar master & winemaker, welcomed us.

Almost all wine fermenting were just finished in last week.

He had a time to guide us to the cellar.

We enjoyed secret wine talks very much.

After the visit, we went back to Yonago and enjoyed a very fine Teppan-yaki dinner.

Every dish was very delicious.

Thank you very much!
