Feb. 18
It was the second day in the Izu Peninsula trip.
Fortunately, the heavy rain stopped.
I could see a beautiful beach.
At first, we went to cherry blossoms festival in Minamino.
The blossoms come into flower on the earliest in Japan.
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
The view is amazingly beautiful.
Then we moved to Shimoda, where is the first trade port in Japan 150 years ago after the long national isolation.
We walked around on the historic city.
Then we had a very fine sushi lunch.
All dishes were very nice.
Then we went back to Tokyo.
Finally, I enjoyed a fine Burgundy rouge at some wine bar near my home.
It was a very nice trip.
Thank you very much!
