Everyone, please have a good New Year!

Dec. 29

No Wine Day

Dec. 30

I went to visit Jindaiji Temple in Chofu.

I was going to ask for the last Goma prayer of the year, but to my surprise, the Goma prayer for the end of the year was already over.

I had heard before that the Goma prayer at Jindaiji Temple is performed every day no matter what. . .

I had no choice but to eat soba noodles and go home, but all my favorite soba restaurants were closed.

All the soba restaurants that are open have long lines.

I gave up and went home.

Today’s dish

Raw Oysters

Le Lectier and Jambon Sec

Le Lectier is a pear from Niigata.

It goes perfectly with French prosciutto.

The usual Salad

Grilled Red Snapper and Sauteed Shrimp with Potato Gratin

It’s good today too.

Today’s Wine

Marquis de Beau Rond Rose 2022 1,080 yen

Tonight, I opened a rose of Marquis de Beau Rond.

It is made from Grenache and Syrah and a small amount of Merlot grown in Languedoc.

I felt red fruits flavor, pleasantly sweet aromatic acidity, clean aftertaste.

I secretly think that the best wine in Marquis de Beau Rond is the rose.

It was especially compatible with Le Lectier.

Dec. 31

I always write this diary the next day, but I decide to write it on New Year’s Eve as the end of the year.

I continue to take care of my wife, who suffers from an incurable disease called progressive supranuclear palsy, so I have few opportunities to leave home, and I continue to be unfaithful in various ways.

I’m very sorry.

This year, I have managed to spend a year with the encouragement of many people and a lot of support.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude.

Our New Year’s Eve dinner is sukiyaki every year.

The meat is made from Hokkaido black wagyu beef.

I haven’t decided what to drink with wine yet.

Everyone, please have a good New Year!
