Domaine Ortola

Mar. 30

I was looking forward to tasting the sample wines today.

I received the sample bottles from Yann, who is a wine agent introduced Leubeau in Loire and Le Couverset in Rhone recently for us. Both of wines are selling very well.

1st Domaine Ortola Pay D’Oc Blanc 2014 Sample tasting

It is made in Languedoc from Vermentino and Viognier grown in the estate winery by organic method.

Oh! Oh! Oh!

What a clean style of white wine is this!

It is an extraordinary clean style of Languedoc white.

I haven’t see such a clean white wine by sample tasting for a long time.

It is a really, really, cool and beautiful white wine.

It is just my taste.

I drank up the whole bottle immediately.

2nd Domaine Ortola Pay D’Oc Rouge 2013 Sample tasting

The red is made from Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan.

It is a very orthodox style of Languedoc rouge.

All of the grapes are grown by organic method, too.

It is a very nice, very good Languedoc rouge.

I was not surprised at the quality compared with the previous white wine.

However, it has an outstanding quality in this class, I think.

It is the first time I have become happy by the sample tasting for a long time.
