No Wine Day
Sep. 17
Today, I went to Koriyama.
At the York Benimaru headquarters, I held a regular wine seminar.
This is the fourth time.
This month, four staff members of the participants took the Japan Sommelier Association’s wine certification and all passed with flying colors.
Congratulations!
The theme of seminar in this time is “Italian, Spanish, and other European wines”
The range is wide, and many place names and grape varieties have come out, which is already difficult.
The lecture content was a bit like a world history class, but everyone listened enthusiastically with interest.
At the last tasting, we got high praise for the orange wine from Marquis de Beau Rond, although it was off the theme of the day.
Thank you very much for your time today.
Also, let’s study hard next month.
After the seminar, I was invited to the home of a friend and his wife who live in Koriyama today.
It’s been a long time, but it’s the first time I’ve had his wife’s homemade dishes.
You are a very good cook. I didn’t know.
Stewed silver cod is said to be a standard hospitality dish in Koriyama.
It is moist and elegantly flavored, and this is extremely delicious!
We tasted the special wine, Chateau Mercian Mariko Syrah 2018.
You had a great wine.
And after all, this is wonderful.
It has a fresh fruits flavor that you can’t believe has been aged for 7 years, and a mellow mouthfeel.
All the flavors of the wine produced a perfect harmony.
The story flew here and there, and a good time passed.
Thank you all.
I returned to Tokyo by the Shinkansen near the last train.
I went home while drinking the collaboration wine between Takahata Winery and the Shinkansen that was sold at the station shop.
Thank you for the good time today.
