Today is April Fool’s Day.
Since then, Kuma-chan has not moved anymore.
Even in April, the terrible cold continues.
It’s so cold that I changed my plans for dinner today and made it a chicken hotpot.
In the morning, I stewed chicken stock and chicken skin to get a rich broth. The only seasoning is soy sauce and mirin.
Hot pot cooking on a cold day is the best.
I also ate bonito sashimi.
Wine of the Day
Oriol Rossell Rose NV ¥1,650
It is an organic rose sparkling wine from Penedes, Spain.
It is a blend of Garnacha and Pinot Noir grown without pesticides in the estate vineyard.
A craft Cava that is shipped after manual moving bottle work.
I was impressed is the gentle bubbles and charming fruit flavor reminiscent of strawberries.
After all, a Pinot Noir blend is kind of elegant.
If it were Champagne, it would be ridiculously expensive.
It’s probably better than poor Champagne rose.
