Feb. 9

Today, February 9th, is Meat Day.

2, 9 is pronounced as ni, ku in Japanese.

“Niku” means meat.

So, I made sukiyaki for dinner tonight.

The meat is half domestic beef from Hokkaido and half Japanese black beef from Kagoshima.

Japan archipelago, north and south, but the taste is very similar, and when I put it in the pot, I couldn’t tell which was which.

Both meats were very tasty.

Daimajo-sama, who has become thinner, also ate a lot of meat today.

It was good.

Wine of the Day

Marquis de Beau Rond Pinot Noir 2022  1,300 yen

It’s been a long time since I’ve had this.

It’s a good Pinot Noir.

There is no harshness that is common in Pinot Noir from Languedoc.

I felt fresh red fruits flavor, nicely stretched acid, gentle tannins and a sharp aftertaste.

Really, it is a Pinot Noir full of coolness.

If you drink this one blind, you’ll probably think it’s Burgundy, right?

If it’s not called Marquis de Beau Rond it’s a quality that I would like to sell for at least 2,000 yen.

Is it too much to say?
