Visit Yoichi and Niki

Nov. 19

It was the second day in Hokkaido.

I went to Yoichi and guided my clients to fine wineries there.

At first, we had a nice seafood lunch at Kakizaki-Shoten.

Then we visited to Domaine Takahiko.

It is one of the best wineries in Japan.

Mr. Takahiko Soga received us well.

He gave us his philosophy and big passion of wine.

Thank you very much Soga-san!

Then we moved to Misono Vineyards.

It is a new winery and produced the first Japan Relax Wine.

I checked the second vintage of his maturing wines.

Then we visited to Domaine Atsushi Suzuki.

It is a very popular “Garage Wine”, very difficult to find in the market.

We saw the very new wine cellar and tired to taste their wine.

Thank you very much for Suzuki-san.

Finally, we visited to NIKI Hills Winery in Niki.

At first, Mr. Funatsu, who is the general manager of the winery, guided us to the cellar.

He is a worldwide adventurer, well known by the crossing Antarctica by a dog sled the world’s first.

It was a very nice experience.

I will stay at the guest house of the winery tonight.

What a gorgeous room!

Will I stay the room alone, won’t I ?

Then I joined a private wine dinner party.

The member today is,

Mr.Funatsu : The general manager

Mr. Maro : Winemaker

Ms. Mishima : Public Relations

And my clients and I.

Ms. Mishima has a experience of success in climbing to the summit of Mt. Vinson.

There are many unique stuff here.

We enjoyed truly fine dishes cooked by Mr. Toyama, who is the chef de cuisine, indeed.

All of the wine produced by NIKI hills were outstanding!

It was a dreaming dinner.

All of us enjoyed the opportunity very much.

I really appreciate Mr. Arima, who is the sommelier of the cellar door, that his perfect service and hospitably mind.

After the dinner, we moved the cellar bar and kept the good party.

It was a dreaming night.

Thank you so much everybody.

Finally, I went back to my room and enjoyed a beautiful night view alone….
