Nov. 2
I went to Les Millesimes in Tamagawa-Gakuen and had a gorgeous dinner.
I deeply enjoyed outstandingly fine dishes.
Every dish was very unique and delicious.
I also enjoyed BYO wines.
Today, I tasted two bottles of super fine wine.
1st Hamada Vineyard Bacchus 2019
It is made from 91% Bacchus and 9% Pinot Noir grown in the estate vineyard in Mikasa Hokkaido.
This one is the second release vintage of the winery.
When I tasted Bacchus 2018 in January 2020, I was agazed that Bacchus became such unbelievably high quality dry white wine.
Also, I was amazed today.
I was amazed to taste very pure fruits, comfortable acidity and elegant minerals.
I also felt very slight babbles, which may be caused by MLF?.
The babbles were also very nice.
It is an outstanding Bacchus white wine.
As far as I know, this one is the best Bacchus wine in the world.
The dishes today were cooked by many Hokkaido foods.
This one was very good for many dishes today.
2nd Arnaud Roberts Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2018
Arnaud Roberts is the flagship winery of “New California Wine”.
It is one of the hottest “cult” wines in California.
It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown by organic method.
It is fermented by the whole bunch with wild yeasts.
The winery doesn’t use any additives except a very low level sulfur.
The style is a typical “No Hand” wine.
I was so amazed to see an outstanding elegant taste and flavor.
I enjoyed very much beautiful fruits, charming red berries, seamless tannin and elegant mouthfeel.
I was born to taste such great Pinot Noir.
It is the top class Pinot Noir I have tasted in these few years.
It was very good for delicious dishes today, too.
It was a dreaming night!
