Expensive Snow Crab

I received Zuwaigani, which is a very expensive snow crab, from my acquaintance.

They were still alive.

 

 

 

 

I steamed them.

 

 

 

 

They are amazingly delicious!

 

 

 

 

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

 

 

 

 

I moved a lot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, I cooked a risotto by crab soup taking from the steaming.

 

 

 

 

It was amazingly delicious, too!

 

 

 

 

 

 

1st Bodega Maranones picarana 2016  2480 yen + tax

It is made from 100% Albillo grown in the estate vineyards in Madrid Spain by biodynamic method.

I misunderstand it is made from Albarino, a popular grape variety in Spain.

Albillo is a local grape variety, I didn’t know.

 

Well, I got a big success!

This white wine is very delicious and really great for Zuwaigani.

I felt excellent fruits, nice acidity and tremendously fine minerals.

The solid body was very good for the Umami of the crab.

It was a perfect pairing!

 

 

2nd Truckheim Pinot Noir T 2015 4,200 yen

I took Alsace Pinot Noir for the second.

The grapes were grown in the estate vineyards, which used to be grown Grand Cru Riesling.

It is one of my most favorite Pinot Noirs recently.

It has all aromas, tastes and flavors which I want taste with a fine Pinot Noir.

So delicious!

It was really good for the crab risotto, too!

It was a kind of dream dinner!
