1st Martial Richard Blanqeutte de Limoux 2200 yen + tax
It is a sparkling wine made in Limoux, where is the coolest area in Languedoc.
It is made from mainly Mauzac, which is the local grape in this area.
I felt a sweet aroma and flavor, which is the typical character of Mauzac, but the taste was very sharp and dry.
The people who lives in Limoux always say, ” Blanquette de Limoux is earlier than Champagne. We thought Champagne how to make a fine sparkling wine a long time ago.”
2nd Domaine Theulot Juillot Mercurey 2017
I bought this Burgundy red wine at Amoureuse, a new wine shop in Shirokanedai.
The price was probably around 3000 yen.
I felt a light touch mouthfeel but there were concentrated fine fruits hidden, which is the character of Mercurey.
It is nice and elegant.
I was surprised at hearing from dainajo-sama, “I like this one. The style is similar to Marquis de Beau Rond Pinot Noir.”
